A Special Time of Divine Favor on the 15th of Av

As our teacher, The Gaon, The Yanuka shlit"a, has taught, the 15th of Av is an extraordinary time of divine favor—a time when Hashem's mercy begins to be revealed and harsh decrees are sweetened. It is a day on which Hashem reveals Himself as the Father of Mercy, as we begin our approach toward the Days of Awe.

On this exalted day, the Rav will offer a special prayer for the sweetening of harsh decrees, worthy matches, shalom bayit, and abundant livelihood on behalf of those who partner in supporting Torah and sacred endeavors.

“When we pray and present our requests during a time of divine favor, all harsh decrees can be annulled and complete mercy can be awakened from Heaven.”
The Maharash of Ostropoli, as quoted by the Rav
